There may be a few curious people who wonder why we have a logo which has two hedgehogs.

The simple answer is that one of the partners is quite fond of these creatures. However, there is a much more involved answer.

The logo is made up of several parts, each of which has some significance. The central part is made up of standard electronic symbols:

  • at the top the symbol for an aerial.
  • at the bottom the symbol for earth.

Fellow Radio Amateurs will reconise that these also appear on many badges of Radio Societies for example the RSGB.

  • to the left is the symbol for a microphone.
  • to the right the symbol for a speaker

As one of our main activities is provision of public address these symbols reflect the tools of our trade.

The centre connecting lines not only complete the connections between microphone, aerial, speaker and earth but also form a Cross. A symbol which in itself has deep significance to the partners.

Finally those hedgehogs,

besides the surprise on the male to the left when the young lady speaks to him!

we answer the question:

How do Hedgehogs communicate with each other?

Very carefully!
