Edenfield Communications provides sound systems ranging from simple public address to multi-channel microphone systems for music and / or drama productions.
Systems are provided for indoor or outdoor locations.
Our principal partner being an experianced speaker and vocalist is also willing to train particpants in microphone techniques and is an experianced commentator for cetain types of event.

Many events only require a simple sound system but, which has the power of a professional system.
These can be set-up by anyone who can wire up their Hi-Fi at home, particularly if they follow the simple guidelines we include. (It helps to read teh book!)
We supply systems for use either indoors or outdoors.
Typically organisers require a system which will enable the "Master of Ceremonies" to make annoucements and for the after dinner speech to be heard by the Audiance.
Our systems can not make the jokes any funnier, but at least Grandma may hear the punch line!

The organisers of such events often only need a simple system so that the Grand Opening can be heard, to give a commentry on the Areana Events and announce the results of the Raffle etc.
The difficulty is that the sound needs to be heard the other side of the cricket field with out annoying the residents of the local shelterd housing.
Such a system also has to be capable of withstanding our typical summer thunderstorms!

A number of Weddings etc taking place in the area have used this equipment at their celebrations with the visiting DJ only needing to bring his collection of recordings and style to the event.
Additional microphones / radio microphones can also be supplied for the best man speech etc.
We can also supply a Lighting System to enhance the overall effect of hte event.
Systems of the types listed under "Dry Hire" above can be supplied and set-up by us when the organiser may not be confident that he or his helpers can confindently set-up the system. Or wher the timetable of the event is such that you just need that extra person.
In particular this might be a good idea for the first year that a system is used for an event as we can from our experiance work out a suitable positioning for speakers, cable runs etc which you can then use in subsequent years as a "Dry Hire".
Or it might be that for a Wedding etc you will just not have the time, or not wish to move equipment in your posh frock, ready before going ot he Church! We can set everything up ready for you and jsut show someone how to operate the not very complex knobs and switches.
For complex evnets such as the School Play, as the equipemtn we would supply will be both more complex and often with many more microphones, DI boxes etc, it is probably best if we set-up. Even if you have operators who are quite used to sound equipment, often they need some guidance when meeting our particulalr selection of mixers etc for the first time. they can then easily run the kit for the performances.
Some events are much more complicated and require a multi microphone system for an orchestra, choir, drama production or are critically important. It would not be very impressive if at your Royal Opening the sound system did not work because no one quite knew how to operate it!
For such events we provide the equipment and sound engineer/s who have themselves freequently been involved in major evetns / productions.

The event may also need prerecorded sound effects, music or messages. All of which we can prepare given sufficient advance notice and the scripts.
It is important that we are brought into the planning early on for such events. Not only will this ensure that we can provide the right service but, as we have organised many such events oursleves we may also be able to bring other expertise in all aspects of running an event to your assistance.
